Project Palette

My project to repair, use and preserve Polaroid's Digital Palette film recorders!

Around 2013, I became the proud owner of a Polaroid Digital Palette CI-5000 film recorder.

isn't she a beaut?

Manufactured in 1992, this wonderful machine uses the combined power of CRTs, film photography and 90s computing to output digital images to a film format of your choice, in glorious 4K resolution!

Neato!

However, resources and info on these are few and far between, and that's to say nothing about the machines themselves!

So, I've been on a project to collect and learn as much about these as possible, with a view to preserving them well into the future!

Resources

Over the coming weeks, this section will become a bit more fleshed out, as I write up and share various things I've learnt.

In the meantime though, here's some handy stuff!
